The new SEAT 20V20 (meaning Vision 2020) serves as a new model of design, quality and passion. When the concept vehicle was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show, it was the SUV-led design that caught the most attention. It is this style that has been recently announced as a winner in the famous Automotive Brand Contest.
This contest is the only design competition in the automotive sector, which only emphasises its current importance. A jury of industry journalists, university representatives and design experts award the prize in 15 different categories. The 20V20 was awarded the winner in the Concepts category.
SEAT’s brand stands for dynamic and refined design. Present models, like the Ibiza are proof of this, due to it’s fine lines and overall practical design, which the jury of the Automotive Brand Contest took notice of.
The renowned award was presented by the German Design Council on the 15th September 2015, the first press day of the 2015 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The motor show is one of the biggest motor shows on the planet, both in terms of its size and importance to the global automotive industry.
The German Design Council is devoted to convey one value: “increasing the value of brands through the targeted application of design”. The council has over 200 companies as members, with two million employees. It was created in 1953 by request of the German Bundestag to emphasise the element of design throughout Germany.
