The naming campaign, #SEATseekingName generated an incredible response from the public with around 10,130 name proposals received. Despite the vast number of entries, SEAT have whittled the proposals down to a shortlist of 9. For the first time in SEAT’s history the name of one of its vehicles will be chosen by popular vote. SEAT’s third SUV will continue its tradition of naming its models after Spanish place names, this began in 1982 with the SEAT Ronda and has continued up right up to the most recent release, the Arona.

SEAT is organising several focus groups throughout its main markets and will carry out tests in different countries where it sells its vehicles to select at least three finalists from among the 9 shortlisted names.
SEAT is going to reveal the names of the 3 finalists during a press conference on 12th September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. From that day until 25th September, the public can vote for their favourite candidate on seat.com/seekingname and the name which receives the most votes will be revealed on the 15th October.
