Motability has always been one of the biggest things we support here at Miller and Middleton; we aim to ensure that anyone that meets the Motability criteria has a great range of cars to choose from. So what is the Motability scheme?
The Motability scheme allows people to lease a new vehicle, whether it is a car, scooter or powered wheelchair, using their Government funded mobility allowance. So what are the benefits of joining the Motability car scheme?
A new car every three years
You can get a brand new car every three years! We’ll contact you a few months before your lease expires, so if you decide to continue with the Motability scheme, you can choose a car for your next three year period.
The worry free package gives you similar cover to what you’d expect to get under a fully comprehensive insurance policy. You’re still able to lease a car even if you don’t drive it, you just have to nominate two drivers who can drive on your behalf. If you decide to leave the scheme at a later stage you can request a letter confirming your claims history to take to your new insurer.
Servicing and maintenance
All of your regular servicing and maintenance is included and will be taken care of by Miller and Middleton.
Full breakdown assistance from RAC
The RAC Motability Assist helpline and roadside staff are specially trained to handle your calls and are available on 0800 111 73, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
Annual car tax
We organise the taxing on your car so you don’t have to.
Replacement tyres fitted by Kwik Fit
Your tyres can be replaced for no extra cost, whether they’re worn ot damaged by normal use. They also provide a mobile service which allows them to be repaired and replaced for no extra cost at your home or workplace.
Window and windscreen repair or replacement by Autoglass
If anything happens to your windows or windscreen you can get them repaired or replaced at no extra cost.
60,000 mileage allowance over three years
You can get a 60,000 mile allowance over three years with cars. However if the total mileage is higher than the allowance when you return the car, there is a charge of 5p for every additional mile.
The scheme is available to those who are receiving the Higher rate of Motability component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA), a War Pensioners Supplement or the new PIP allowance (Personal Independent Payment).
