SEAT are set to unveil the eagerly anticipated Tarraco on 18 September in Barcelona. The brand new model will join the Ateca and the Arona to complete SEAT’s excellent SUV range.
The speculation around the debut of the vehicle has been enormous following the #SEATSeekingName campaign that saw the general public vote for the name of the new car. There were more than 146,000 votes registered in the competition with other names in the running including Talboran, Taranda and Avila.
There was a family-friendly focus around the construction of the brand new car that will hold seven seats in total. SEAT have confirmed that there will be cheaper models of the car available with 5 seats, however most will come with seven.
Tarraco owners will have the option to venture off road with the 4x4 version of the car being made available alongside the 2x4 standard drive. Buyers will also be able to choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed dual clutch automatic adding an exciting burst of speed to the family friendly SUV.
There has not yet been any official announcement as to the price of the Tarraco, however it is suspected that the large SUV will have a lower starting price than 2018’s Large SUV of the Year, the Peugeot 5008.
The Tarraco will help complete SEAT’s biggest ever product range following the arrival of the award-winning Ateca in 2016 and the Arona in 2017. SEAT have had excellent success in recent years and it is hoped that the Tarraco will follow suit.
Here at Miller and Middleton, we cannot wait to have the brand new model on display in our showroom when it is made available in the UK next year. Make sure you follow us on our socials to keep up to date with the Tarraco and every other model in SEAT’s wonderful fleet.
