Barcelona-based SEAT showcased two new cars at its home city international motor show, which ran from 11th to 21st May 2017.
The automobile world, connectivity, digitalisation, technology and smart mobility all went hand in hand at this years Automobile Barcelona where two shows were combined into one. Firstly, Connected Hub. This event was dedicated to in-car technology and managed to bring different elements of the design together; tech, mobility and new business models. This combined with the actual motor show itself resulted in a phenomenal event.
The event provided the perfect stage for SEAT to demonstrate their decision to reinforce its position as front-runner in car technology and development. What better way to do this than to have the all-new Ateca FR make its international debut. This is the latest addition to the high-selling SUV range and is designed with the notion of providing undeniable sportiness without compromising luxury, constantly in mind.
Nevertheless, the award-winning Ateca will not be the only part of SEAT’s SUV story. Later on this year the greatly anticipated SEAT Arona will be revealed and available in showrooms. The Arona will be followed by a large SUV with a smaller of five or seven seats in 2018.
All of SEAT’s newest models that appeared at the Automobile show in Barcelona including the Ateca FR, All-New Ibiza and Leon CUPRA 300, were accompanied by the concept car ‘SEAT 600 BMS’. This exercise was a project designed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of one of the brand’s most iconic models. A tribute to the past, the 600 BMS is based on the unforgettable SEAT 600D with its retractable top.
2017 is lining up to be an incredibly special year for SEAT. We obtained the best financial results in the companies history in 2016 and we have hit the ground running this year as one of the fastest-growing car brands in Europe. With the exciting new models close to hitting showrooms and the already present models thriving in their individual markets, everyone here at Miller and Middleton is delighted to be involved with such incredible cars.
